David J. Motter has practiced law in the greater New Orleans area for 35 years, building a general practice rooted in Jefferson Parish and grounded in courtroom experience.

Before returning to private practice, Mr. Motter served as an Assistant District Attorney for Jefferson Parish and has sat as an ad hoc judge for the First Parish Court and as an ad hoc Justice of the Peace — experience that gives him a working knowledge of both sides of the bench.

Over the course of his career, his clients have included the Louisiana Superdome, the State of Louisiana, and the Mississippi River pilots, alongside individuals throughout Jefferson Parish and the surrounding region facing criminal charges, injury claims, and business disputes.
